New Currency Database Provides Rapid Access to Banknote and Coin Data

The industry’s first dedicated, searchable online database of banknotes and coins

Reconnaissance International has launched DataVault™, a dedicated resource for professionals needing accurate, fast, up-to-date information on currency.  The two modules for banknote and coins enable users to quickly search every note and coin denomination in the world by a wide range of design and specification criteria, sort the data, save and even download.

A further module on cash in circulation data is currently under development, whilst in future there will be modules for passports and tax stamps too.

DataVault Banknote contains specifications of all current circulating and commemorative banknotes, including design, dimensions, orientation, substrate, security features and images. DataVault Coins offers equivalent information, including diameter, shape and material composition.

The information can be searched by any of these parameters, along with region, sub-region, date of issue and reason for issue.

The data is offered through an easy-to-use interface with advanced search capabilities designed for quick and easy searches relevant for the industry.

While there are databases available for banknotes and coins already, DataVault Banknotes and Coins are fully updated each month by industry experts, they come with a flexible and convenient search capability, they are fully downloadable to Excel, and each licence comes with unlimited access.

In particular, the ability to search, sort and save by denomination, by country or through multiple categories, allows information on features and trends to be easily identified and compared, in mere minutes – saving countless hours if not days that manual research typically involves.

DataVault has been developed for designer, issuers and producers of currency, along with suppliers of substrates, features and sorting and handling equipment and services, all of whom will  benefit by keeping pace with global currency issuance, and identifying trends and developments, to support strategic planning and decision making.

DataVault is available on an annual subscription basis, with unlimited user access per subscription.  There are separate subscriptions for the banknote and coin modules, with a discount for a combined package.

A trial of DataVault is available via  https://datavault.reconnaissance.net/contact-us/, which leads to access to a sub-region for a two week period to explore and understand the databases.
